Reunión del campamento
The Manassas Church of God Campgrounds are situated close to the church building on Rixlew Lane, directly across the street from Unity Reed High School. The campgrounds have a rich history dating back to the year 1947, when Wellington Road and Rixlew Lane were just narrow gravel and dirt roads. It was here that God-fearing men and women were led to build a place where people could come from all around the world to hear the Word of God preached and to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.
The last Manassas Camp Meeting was held in 2025. Due to the age and condition of the campground buildings, the camp meeting will no longer be held.

Cómo se construyó
It was with much prayer and faith that the campgrounds were built. There are many accounts recorded of the way the finances were provided to fund such a large project. In many instances, it took prayer to gather enough funds, but God always provided!
It also took a lot of hard work and manual labor. Many faithful attendees of local congregations devoted much of their time and energy to clearing the woods and building the structures that still stand today. The campgrounds were maintained each year by people that attended local congregations of the Church of God.

Each day of camp meeting followed the same order, from the prayer meeting to the evening service.
There were several saints who still attended Campmeeting each year and remembered the first Campmeeting back in 1947.

Then and Now
Through the Years
Over the years, the facilities were updated and modernized, and travelers no longer slept on straw-filled mattresses. The bell that had been installed many years earlier was still rung to signal the different events of the day, and everyone still gathered around the snack stand each night for refreshments after the evening service.
However, the best part of Campmeeting was hearing the same powerful preaching of God’s Word and experiencing how God’s Spirit continued to bless the meeting after all those years. Even in the July heat, without air conditioning, men and women traveled from near and far to receive this blessing.
